I had a stroke back in 2016, now I'm going on post nine years and hasn't gotten better as of this day, walking with a quad cane with no use of my left hand or arm is bad for me, my stroke affected my left side I miss doing a lot of the things, that I use to do cooking, cleaning and making up my own bed, combing my own hair and making it look pretty, being unable to make it to the bathroom on time is rally nerve recking,I say I just want to be normal again.

My great grandmother passed away on February 6th, 2019, in 4:00 AM from a stroke in her sleep at the age of 94. I miss her already. One grandpa I know has passed away on January 22nd, 2022, from a stroke also at the age of 87. I miss both of them already.

one of the biggest takeaways here is how NOT TO REACT. I know this is almost impossible for women, but you CANNOT UNDER ANY CIRCUMSTANCES GET FRANTIC, PANICED AND EMOTIONAL. Remember: the patient can see and hear you. if you lose it, then that makes matters 10 times worse for them. you have GOT TO KEEP IT TOGETHER. freak out when you're back home. BUT NEVER EVER EVER INFRONT OF YOUR LOVED ONE.

My dad had a golf ball sized aneurysm. Everyday I thank the doctors who saved him, and every year I send them gifts and letter. Strokes are horrifying, and they can change your life in an instant. Please, talk to your doctor about getting checked. It’s worth it, there ARE warning signs. If anyo else has family or are going thru this themselves, my thoughts are with you. ❤️

My dad was diagnosed with MDS Cancer on January 4th. He had a stroke on June 27th due to a brain bleed because of low platelet counts. He passed away 4 days later. I remember us communicating through hand squeezes as he could not talk or move his right side on the 28th. On the 29th, he could barely squeeze his hand or move at all, but I knew he could understand me. I heard him making noises as if he was trying to speak to me. The only noticeable sign I got that he could understand me was when I told him "I love you dad, stay strong" he squeezed my hand tightly for a moment. On the 30th, his eyes were closed and he had basically no control of his movements and struggling to breathe. Due to the pain we knew he was in, we chose not to resuscitate and do not intubate on the 29th. We were there for hours, my aunt, my uncle and my mother and I. Just there for hours on the 30th by his bedside. He was trying so hard to breathe. It was painful to see him like that. An hour after we left the hospital. It was 5:12pm and my mom got the call, "Your husband has passed away, Ma'am." I didn't know how to react and I still don't. Fly high Dad, you will be missed.🕊️❤

Here in Norway🇧🇻 If I had a stroke and couldn't play the piano, the ergotherapist would make me try and try. Just leaving the arm, and not stimulating the brain with that arm by doing what little you can, has brought back motion to a lump and numb arm. I had to get out of bed day 2 of my stroke and start walking. I said but I can't stand....but one little step, just pushing my foot forward really, led to more step later and today I have 6840 steps on my pedometer and I am walking by myself. I couldn't text, now I can.

Why doctors are still comparing Apple to oranges? WHI study which was stopped in. 2002 used conjugated equine estrogen and synthetic progestin named Medroxy progesterone acetate. We are using transdermal body identical estradiol and micronized body identical progesterone, completely different medication. People should not be wasting time listening to these presentations.

I don’t mean to be offensive, but companies have a right to advertise their product. If I’m selling candy bars, I will advertise so that people know I’m selling them and will want to buy them! It’s the same with alcohol commercials and everything else. Those ads don’t make alcoholics or eating disorder or anything. So instead of trying to silence companies trying to advertise their products, I think it would make more sense to encourage more health food companies or health products to advertise more than they do so we can see more of their products! If they advertised more like the other unhealthy food companies, there would be more customers for them and people would even know they existed in the first place! I know I have wanted healthy alternatives to unhealthy things and I had to google it to find it. So yeah they need to advertise more. With so many people now wanting healthier options, their products would sell like crazy!!
